I'm a post-doctoral student with Rob Dunbar (EESS, Stanford University) in Patagonian lacustrine sediments and Central Pacific shallow marine corals to study sediment processes related to climate change.

During my PhD, I was involved in Geological Hazards Assessment with C. Escutia (IACT-CSIC)and E. Gràcia (UTM-CSIC) throughout the characterization and dating of turbidites from the deep basins in the Southwestern Iberian Peninsula. In addition, I collaborated with Sumatra and Cascadia turbidite paleoseismology projects. My dissertation was defended in the University of Barcelona on 2009.

My interests are:

  1. -Sedimentary processes and facies in the lacustrine and marine environments as paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic proxies.

  2. -Global environmental and paleoclimate change

  3. -Slope processes and stability

  4. -Paleoseismicity record in Holocene sediments

  5. -Geohazards

  6. -Origin and evolution of submarine canyons and associated base-of-slope turbidite systems.
